It is possibly that he will be fighting Joshua Clottey according to LA Times. Pacquiao's trainer Freddie Roach said in an interview that "If you concede to whatever Mayweather wants, that's giving him an edge. We are bigger than Mayweather. We don't need him. We don't work for him. So, the way I feel now, we'll go fight Clottey, then we'll fight the winner of the Mosley vs Berto fight." Despite there is still some movement on the background in making the mega fight Mayweather vs Pacquiao to happen, Bob Arum said that they have moved on already and they already closed the idea of making the fight happen. Joshua Clottey is the welterweight opponent of Miguel Cotto where he lost in a close 2009 fight.
