‘The Voice’ Season 11 premiere almost makes us feel bad for Adam Levine

The 11th season of "The Voice" kicked off on Monday (Sept. 19) with some returning favorites and fresh new faces to disrupt NBC's singing competition. While Adam Levine and Blake Shelton made their triumphant return to the series, the night's episode brought new coaches Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys to the fold. Early on, a theme began to present itself which found Adam Levine continually getting the short end of the stick. From Blake Shelton's continuous ribbing -- which almost made it feel like Levine was a bullied younger brother -- to Miley Cyrus's jab at his statement regarding how many seasons he's won (it's three), one could almost feel bad for Levine. Then again, with his healthy ego, vocal talent and good looks to match, one could easily not feel bad for him. And while Alicia Keys, Miley Cyrus and Blake Shelton all ended up with sufficient talent added to their burgeoning teams once the episode ended, it's worth acknowledging that the lead singer of Maroon 5 only acquired one singer.
