Joey hits upon a new money making scheme when he becomes conviced a blackjack dealer has a hand identical to his own. Phoebe tries to unmask an elderly women as a lurker. But ends up in trouble with the casino's security herself, whilst Ross and Rachel get drunk together, and by the end of the night, two of the gang are husband and wife.

    After his film gig falls through, Joey is reduced to a job in a casino and is desperate to keep it from his friends. The holiday gets off to a good start - until Chandler discovers Monica has been in contact with her old flame Richard and cannot let it go, ruining their anniversary. Meanwhile, Rachel and Ross travel to Vegas a few days after the others due to commitments in New York. Whilst travelling, they begin a "prank war" that gets out of control.

Ross makes it his own mission to teach Joey how to write a script when he loses another acting gig.     Joey is finding it increasingly difficult to keep Monica and Chandler's affair to himself when he is forced to take the wrap for Chandler leaving his underwear and razor at the girls apartment, even though it convinces Rachel that he is a pervert. Things get worse when Chandler and Monica attempt to make a porn video of themselves. But Joey's date accuses him of recording their first night together, and when Rachel finds a naked picture of Monica at the boys place and accuses Joey of being a perverse stalker, it's the final straw. Meanwhile, Phoebe and Rachel join a literatue class. Phoebe wants to learn, whilst Rachel wants to have fun and repeatedly asks Phoebe to do her work and give her knowledge on books, which gives Phoebe an idea for revenge, whilst a troubled Ross gets really mad after his boss eats his leftover Thanksgiving sandwich and becomes greatly feared at the museam because of his outburst.

    With Emily due in New York, Ross is ordered to sell all of his furniture as Emily doesn't want to live in a house filled with things that Rachel has used, sat and slept on. The gang are forced to hide their true resentment of the aggravation Emily is putting Ross through. Things get worse when Emily suggests getting rid of Ross's lifelong apartment in favour of her cousins old place, forcing Joey to flip out and tell Ross a few home truths. Faced with losing everything and everyone he loves, Ross is forced to face that his marriage cannot survive. Meanwhile, Monica and Rachel encounter what appears to be a Yeti and they fug him with a bug bomb. The Yeti turns out to be their new neighbour, Danny. Rachel and Danny clash when Danny accuses Rachel of being shallow, whilst Phoebe inherites a Buffay family heirloom - a fur coat.

Meanwhile, Monica tells Rachel she is dating a guy from her resturant to cover up her affair with Chandler. Chandler is delighted when Rachel tells him that Monica's new lover is the best sex she's ever had and cannot resist gloating, which lands in him in Monica's bad books. Elsewhere, Ross finally makes contact with Emily, who asks him to move to London. He is torn as he doesn't want to leave his son Ben. But he also doesn't want to have two failed marriages. Whatever he decides, the consequences will be dire.

Ross's new girlfriend Bonnie has hit it off with the gang, especially Joey and Chandler, and joins them for the weekend break, which angers Rachel as she and Ross begin to finally put the past behind them. A rainstorm forces leaves the gang bored, until Joey suggests playing strip poker, whilst Chandler is upset when Monica says he is not "boyfriend material" and becomes obsessed with proving her wrong.

But Phoebe soon discovers he is using a poem to secretly insult Monica, so the girls plot their revenge.
